ফেলে আসা সময় যখন হাওয়ার বেগে আবার ফিরে আসে,থমকে দাঁড়ায় মন...।

পার্বতীপুরের শতবর্ষ প্রাচীন দুর্গা পূজা.

 

পুরানো এ্যালবাম থেকে নেয়া। পার্বতীপুরের শতবর্ষ প্রাচীন এই দুর্গা পূজা রায় প্রামানিক পরিবার দ্বারা পরিচালিত।

পুরনো অ্যালবাম থেকে ঃ ৩রা অক্টোবর, ২০১০ ঃ সুতাহাটা দেব পট্টনায়েক পারিবারের পূজা।

আগের ফটো। এই পরিবার সুতাহাটার জামালচকে বসবাস করেন। দোর পরগনার এক প্রাচীন পরিবার। যাদবরাম রায়ের সঙ্গে সম্পর্কিত।

আজ অষ্টমী। করোণার আবহেই মা দুর্গার আরাধনা চলছে। সব্বাই ভালো থাকুন।

নদী এখন অনেক দূরে সরে গেছে। নাব্যতা সমস্যা।
এক পাড় ভাঁঙে ,আর এক পাড় গড়ে ওঠে।
নদী,মানু্‌ষ ,নৌকা আর জোয়ার ভাঁটার টানে দিন যায় ,দিন আসে।

I know it may rain, I may get wet, still I like to stand beside the window. Now a days tall buildings have covered my skyline, no matter I have to go  up-stair. Flood light posts are new for Durgachak stadium. Hope these will bring new light for my beloved town.

Viswakarma Puja at Haldia

Industrial town Haldia is celebrating Viswakarma Puja with full sound and songs.

Patikhali Duck Bunglow-a memory of Quit India Movement

This deserted Duck Bunglow was the shelter of British soldier during Quit India Movement. Later this place was occupied by Calcutta Port Trust and was used as their office. This building has the early memory of Haldia.

Where is the abode of God Haldia? Is there any connection of the name "Haldia"with Bible?

Twin temple of Lord Shiva, Anar nagar

These twin temples are one of the old existing temples of Doro pargana, near Kukrahati. Temples are live and local people celebrate "Gajan" utsav during Chaitra sankantri.

Kukrahati Khas Mahal

Once this place was full of sound ,now deserted-only few cattle roam inside and cow-dung cakes show their status to the nearing house holds.

The light and sound is no more. The old building is still living in the haunted history of past.

Hundred years of Parbatipur High school

Established in 1910 AD,Parbatipur Patit Pabani High school witnessed many historical events of this area.

Situated near the river bank of Hooghly , it's the school of pride for Haldia.

Kukrahati Khas mahal

Once kukrahati was the principal town of Dorodubnan pargana and khas mahal was the place of Official work related to land revinue.

Hijli Tidal canal:1871~72

Yes, it's still existing! The 138 years old lock gate of Govt.Dockyard at Geokhali is still living with its glorious history.On 22nd August,2010 when we decided to go there to take photograph,did not expect to see the mark: GOVT DOCKYARD, CALCUTTA 1872. The steel is still strong to fight the corrosion,the rivets are still robust to take the load. But the people are forgetting,forgetting the route---only Tagore can help

them.He used to go through this water canal for his journey to Orissa.This is our heritage.We must save it.

Balari :Semaphore :1933

Semaphore is an optical telegraph,used to guide the ship about the depth of water. This Semaphore is situated at the village of Jhikurkhali,on the bank of river Hooghly.Now a days other advanced techniques are in use and this Semaphore is no more in an usable condotion. There is a small office building of Kolkata Port Trust,showing : BALARI SEMAPHORE, 1933
