Gokul Refoil Solvent Ltd. is under construction near the oldest temple of DoroDubnan Pargana. It was a temple of lord Krishna---a legend from Gokul!
See my earlier writeup: Oldest temple turned to a garbage bin.
Hope this temple will remain the same at its location.
Haldia is a sub-division of Purba Medinipur District, West Bengal,India. But the main town is based on the Haldia Dock Complex. Now it's the most highlighted spot in West Bengal for its industrialization. The river Hooghly & Haldi nourished the area with their water & soil.Jadabram Rai was the first historical figure of this place-earlier known as "Doro Dubnan".Later he became a salt merchant under the British. He developed this area from a zero state to a new height.

Renuka Sugar : At Historian's door.
The old Zamindar house of Debhog is now inside the Renuka Sugar Refinery Plant. Very few people are aware that it was the home of famous historian Dr.Amalesh Tripathi. In 1936 he stood first in the School Matriculation Examination(jointly for Bengal, Bihar & Orissa) from Tamluk Hamilton High School.
This building was constructed by his father. It was kept deserted for a long time and a point of curiosity to the local people.

Haldia:Is the name by mistake??
In the official documents of Calcutta Port Trust related to the establishment of "Haldia Dock", Haldi river is written as "RIVER HALDIA".

A Ferry Ghat in oblivion
Near Patikhali, near the place where Hooghly Met coke factory is being established , there was a Ferry Ghat: Phool Bari. It was also near the local market of "Bahanlari". Now there is no existence of both the"Phool Bari" & the market of ":Bahanlari". It was a source of connection for the local people with Sagar Islands.
